Kids Need Our Help

My sister and I were talking to one another on the phone yesterday and she was mentioning that she will have to get glasses for the kids and herself and her husband. But the cost is astronomical and so the littlest one comes first.  I asked how much? oh around 500 bucks. I almost fell off my chair.  So I am putting a SHOUT out there...If anyone knows of any programs for low income families to maybe get some sort of assistance in this area that would be wonderful.

My Obsessions with Jewel Quest Blitz

This delightful game on Facebook has sucked my in every night about this time runs me dry, I sit for hours trying to out score not just myself but other people. As I write this I am very tired. I took my sleeping pills two hours ago and I should be in bed snoring away. But oh no, I play this game over and over and even am so obsessed about it, instead of counting sheep in my sleep I count the jewels and how am I going to match them as fast as I can so I can get a big score at the end.

I probably go on and on how to play it but try it out for yourself and then come back here and report to me what you thought of it and do you like it as much as I do?
What is the fascination with games like theses? I spend most of my day and night playing time management games such as Retail Therapy, Cafe World, Farm Town, and so on and so forth.
It's really just a big waste of time. or is it?

Big Shout out to JC

I don't talk about my personal life here much due to so many things going on that I don't really have time to. But tonight I will sit here and share with you the exciting news about JC.

I have never met JC nor have I spoken with him on the phone. I however have written him numerous times over the last 4 years and feel as if he is my son. This is a very complicated story and because of fear of his mother running away with him to spite his father I can't tell you all of it. We just found him after a long time of looking for him. Actually JC is the one that emailed our company address and because I didn't quite know him I spammed his email. Thank goodness I never deleted my trash folder.

JC is 14 years old and basically lives in Denver's Children Hospital with cancer. But the great news is.....he had a bone marrow transplant and his body has not rejected it yet. It really saddens me that we can't be there with him to celebrate his joy, fears, and accomplishments. His mother is on vacation right now and it would be the perfect opportunity.

It really is sad. I have a son who I can't cuddle, or spoil, or just say I love you in spoken words. His mother doesn't spend or has ever spent a single day with him while in the hospital. He relies on a very good friends mom to step in to take on that role.

Please say a prayer for JC. Keep in your thoughts. Hopefully one day soon I can meet him. Until that time we converse over the computer through emails and while it is hard it's the best for right now.

Let Your Inner Child Come Out

Who in their right mind doesn't love crafty things made by yourself or ETSY crafters.  Why not invest in beautiful handmade items to support small businesses that are trying to make a dime? I would and have and love everything ETSY. The work that people put into their craft is amazing.

I am writing this post because CraftGossip is having this fabulous giveaway to win some serious shopping money just for our ETSY in us. Here is a "wish list" that I would love to win... Join me on this fantastic journey through my eyes.

I collect anything wooden. I enjoy the feel and smell of fine wood and love to display my collection around my home. This European Pear Trinket Box by Ossian would be a fabulous piece to add.

My love of wallets is pretty profound these days. I am not woman who carries a purse so I have to have something stylish in my back pocket. This would be a great addition already stylish wallet collection. Necktie Billfold

Pottery Pottery Pottery I love Pottery! I love it, buy it and always ask for it for Christmas. I however could never throw it. I have always wanted a Ceramic Spoon Rest. I am tired of not knowing where to put my utensils when I am cooking. This would save a lot of hassles.

What a fun way to shop around and find something you really would like. I can't wait to go back today and so some more "wish list" finds for the holidays.

Stop by CraftGossip and Etsy and make your dreams a reality too.

Now Reading: Captured by Grace

I chose this book because for sometime now I have been inquiring a lot about my faith. The first book I received from BookSneeze was brilliant and I figured why not continue and feast my eyes upon other things besides what is considered the "norm" in my reading bookcase. I know that reading this will be a challenge for me but I am up for anything at this time because I am tired of the same hum drum readings that I have come across.

So stay tuned......
